Grafton Hotel Gets Boutique Steakhouse With Olivers Prime

The Sunset Strip’s understated Grafton Hotel is bringing back the beef with the just-opened Oliver’s Prime restaurant. Originally the location of Boa, the space went through a few other concepts before its latest redo as a farm-to-table steakhouse featuring Prime and Choice grades. But it’s not just about the meat: Organic produce is featured in creative sides and salads like asparagus with prosciutto and farm egg or quinoa with snap pea and tangerines. The redone space has a glam feel with white leather banquettes and lots of mirrors and metallic accents, while a patio overlooks the lights of L.A.

Eat: Dry-aged New York strip or Porterhouse cuts from Creekstone Farms are the signature steaks; filet of bison from Wyoming; Scottish salmon; seafood platters; and for non-beef eaters there is Mary’s organic chicken.

Drink: California beer and wine, and a cocktail list featuring local fruits and vegetables; a separate cocktail lounge opens in June.
