One of the most popular video games of 2023 is coming to Nintendo Switch. Although “Hogwarts Legacy” was released for PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One back in February, the game is making its Nintendo debut on Nov. 14.

Priced at $69.99 at Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart and Target, “Hogwarts Legacy: Deluxe Edition” is an open-world action role-playing game where you play as a new student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in an adventure of learning, discovery and magic.

As for gameplay, it’s set during the late 19th century (about 100 years before the events in the Harry Potter series), you learn to cast spells, brew potions and master combat abilities from your professors and fellow students, while you go on a journey to discover an ancient secret that’s hidden deep within the Wizarding World.

Meanwhile, you can pick and customize your character with different appearances, genders, voices and body types to select, while you can choose one of four Hogwarts Houses to join — Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Throughout the game, you can develop your own special combat style to earn experience points for upgrades and boosts.

This is the “Deluxe Edition,” which comes with the game itself, as well as the “Dark Arts Pack” with Dark Arts cosmetic set, a Thestral mount and Dark Arts battle arena.

Since its release in Feb., “Hogwarts Legacy” has sold more than 15 million copies across platforms (as of May), while it has brought in over $1 billion globally. It remains to be seen if the Nintendo Switch version will gain as much success as the other console and PC versions, but since the Switch is one of the most popular gaming console in history, it’s very likely the game will be a top seller for Nintendo too.

“Hogwarts Legacy” for Nintendo Switch comes out on Nov. 14 for $69.99. It’s available for pre-order now, while PS and Xbox editions are out now. In the meantime, you can watch a trailer for the game below.
